How to Plan a Private-Label Candy Project

A practical starting point for turning a confectionery idea into a clear manufacturing brief.

22 JUN 2026 · Fly Foods

A successful private-label candy project starts with a clear commercial target. Before choosing colors or packaging, define where the product will be sold, who will buy it and the price range it needs to reach. These decisions shape the recipe, format, pack size and production plan.

Start with the product experience

Choose the candy family first: chocolate, gummy candy, jelly candy, lollipops or marshmallow candy. Then describe the flavor direction, texture, shape, color and serving format. Reference samples or photos are useful, but a short written description helps the development team understand what matters most.

Plan the pack around the market

Packaging affects shelf impact, protection during transport and unit cost. Share the desired retail format, pack weight, language requirements, barcode needs and carton configuration. If artwork is not ready, provide brand guidelines and the mandatory information for your destination market.

Make the first enquiry productive

Include your target quantity, launch date and delivery country. With those basics, Fly Foods can ask the right follow-up questions about formulation, packaging, manufacturing and shipment.
