A Packaging Artwork Checklist for Candy Buyers

Organized artwork review helps reduce delays and prevent avoidable packaging revisions.

Packaging artwork brings together branding, product information, regulatory text and production requirements. A structured review process is especially useful when several languages, pack sizes or flavors are being developed at the same time.

Confirm the technical template

Work from the correct dieline and keep important text, logos and barcodes inside the designated safe area. Confirm dimensions, print method, color references and any transparent or metallic areas before finalizing the visual design.

Check every variable field

Review the product name, flavor, net quantity, ingredient and allergen statements, nutrition information, origin, storage instructions, importer details and language versions. Requirements vary by destination, so the buyer or local compliance specialist should approve market-specific copy.

Prepare clean final files

Supply linked images, outlined or packaged fonts, specified colors and an approved reference PDF. Use clear filenames and revision numbers. A single consolidated approval helps prevent an older file from returning to the production workflow.
